Coloma and Placerville Tour

Depart for Coloma at 9:00am and travel to the Gold Discovery Site, arriving around 10am.  The guide will then take us on a tour of the gold discovery site, Sutter’s Sawmill, museum, and Explore Outdoor Exhibits (Chinese Store, Miner’s Cabin & Equipment).  We will then depart for downtown Placerville to enjoy some shopping, lunch on your own. Placerville is a scenic and charming California gold rush town strategically located in the California Foothills. The prosperity of California’s “Gold Country” that drew gold seekers of yesterday is still being discovered today.  We will depart for the hotel at 3:00pm and arrive back at 4:00pm.

Drive past the Stanford Mansion, the Historic Victorian era Governor’s Mansion, Sutter's Fort, & the 40-acre International Gardens with plants & trees from around the world.  The tour also includes an interior tour of the gorgeous Capitol Building that went through an extensive remodeling to bring it back to its 1870's beauty.  Enjoy 3 hours on your own having lunch in Old Sacramento, or tour the California Railroad Museum for an additional $10 paid at the museum
